Laura and Eddie’s wedding – De Vere Tortworth Court

This is something I’ve been meaning to write for a long time now! It’s been months and because I’ve been busy with everything going on, I’ve put this off again and again.

I’ve known Laura since I was around 9 years old, which is over 20 years ago. That’s crazy! There’s been some long periods of time where we’ve not seen each other or spoken but then when we do, it’s like we saw each other a week ago. I’ve got a few friends like that due to distance and they’re the type of friends that you know you’ll have for life.

So when Xen and I were invited to Laura and Eddie’s wedding, I knew that we had to go and I knew that I wanted to bring my camera along to capture some photos of everyone celebrating the evening! Unfortunately, Xen was ill and very tired due to pregnancy and wasn’t able to make it so I had to go along on my own. This made me slightly apprehensive because I was turning up with my camera and at this point, hadn’t really taken many photos of people in a crowd or done any photography in this style before. Crazy considering a week later I was shooting another friends’ wedding as the actual photographer!

What I learned that evening was how much fun it was taking photos when everybody is having such a great time! It was amazing and actually inspired me to fully go for it, even before doing the wedding the following week! I always knew that I enjoyed photography and especially taking photos of people, but that evening pushed me to re-making my website and taking wedding photography seriously.

The evening was amazing and it was great seeing so many friends from years ago, finding out how everybody was getting on and it actually made me a little sad with how bad I am with keeping in contact with people. It was a wonderful evening and I’m sure everybody attending will have great memories from the wedding. I wish Eddie and Laura a great life together and for their happiness to continue on.
